“Astradia is 100 percent inspired by nature. This particular pattern seems to constantly reveal itself to me in so many forms and iterations always in natural settings and in natural materials. I’ve seen this pattern in stacked stone walls throughout Spain and on stone floors in Italy. My most recent encounter was while walking around Milan during Salone de Mobile. It’s a pattern that I’ve been drawn to for many years and I have visualized many interpretations of this design.
My desire to create a collection of carved stone patterns evolved through my need for this product in my design work. I often found myself specifying custom carved and textured stone for my projects but realized there was a real lack of options in the market. But, as often happens in life, we ask and we receive. Through a series of serendipitous connections, I was presented with this opportunity to collaborate with ABC and Borrowed Earth and immediately, a flood of designs and patterns filled my mind but as we worked together, the product naturally and organically took shape. We were already in development when I was informed that I’d been selected to participate in the 2023 Kips Bay Decorators Showhouse. From there, the wheels already in motion sped up quickly! Designers were given seven weeks to design, install and complete their rooms and I’m happy to report, we pulled it off and I couldn’t be happier with the results.”

Astradia slabs are CNC milled and finished by hand, and are stocked in Taj White and Venato Beige Marble (as seen at Kips Bay). Material is 96″ x 48″ and thickness is 3/4 inch.
