On September 10, ABC Stone welcomed guests to its Exhibition Space in Brooklyn for a special evening celebrating Lawrence Halprin and the opening of The Landscape Architecture of Lawrence Halprin, the final stop of the traveling exhibition.
Presented in partnership with The Cultural Landscape Foundation and NY ASLA, the evening brought together architects, landscape architects, designers, and members of New York’s design community to explore Halprin’s groundbreaking approach to landscape, movement, and the relationship between people and place.
Charles A. Birnbaum, Founder and President of The Cultural Landscape Foundation, shared a presentation on Halprin’s groundbreaking work and enduring legacy, followed by a conversation with landscape architect Ken Smith about his continued influence on contemporary landscape architecture.
The exhibition will remain on view at The Exhibition Space at ABC Stone through October 23 and is available by appointment.
