Robin Antar is an American sculptor specializing in both abstraction and hyperrealism in stone carving. Born in New Jersey, and now based in Brooklyn, her works have been exhibited at Sotheby’s and the National Arts Club in New York. She has produced public work, such as the piece David’s Knot in Flames for at the Zucker Hillside Hospital in Glen Oaks, NY, as well as commissions for Dr. Martens, England, and Sketchers, USA.
In 1981, she received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the School of Visual Arts. Her work has been recognized by Call for Bushwick, The National Association of Women Artists, Allied Artists of America, Manhattan Arts International, United Creators, the ARTV Awards, Pen and Brush, Inc. and ArtNetwork.
Robin’s passion is, in her own words, “To create virtual records of cultural and personal events that have impacted me greatly. My vision of replicating real-life events in stone allows me to transform emotions into lasting expressions of art for others to appreciate.”
