Leonardo Corsanini and Andrea Ingrassia of the Corsanini Studio in Carrara, Italy, are spending the week in Vermont sharing their knowledge.
“Carrara is the center of production of marble and also the artistic component. If there is a place in the world that also wants to deepen, expand their activity in terms of the artistic practice around marble, I feel a moral responsibility to help in that,” Corsanini said through sculptor Stephen Shaheen, who translated. Shaheen spent time at the Corsanini Studio through a grant and takes groups to Italy.
